Happy Birthday to the Coolest Father-in-law!!!

Today is my father-in-law's birthday....the first time I met him had to be the most stressful day of my life.....my wedding day. Imagine praying that everything is going to go well, this includes praying my soon to be husband isn't going to snap out of his fog and realize just who he is about to marry! I'm very lucky to have a father-in-law and mother-in-law--Liz who accepted me as family very quickly. The longer I am in the family the more and more I feel like their daughter...I have learned many things about Steven through his Dad; for instance, where he got his demented sense of humor, his ability to mess with your mind and you not realize it until several days later (although I have gotten much better at this after 13 years lol). As my three sons grow and mature it makes me laugh and terrifies me a little bit to know that they have carbon copy personalities of their father and grandfather! So, from your quirky, mildly derrainged daughter, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Ok, I didn't get my act together to do a blog for Liz's birthday but this is one of my favorite pics of her and James!

James was playing hide-n-seek with PawPaw and it was his turn to count!

Just a few of the grandkids :)

Random Excluded Pictures from the Summer

I am sure many of my fellow bloggers get caught up in the many tasks that come along with being a Mom, the whole school thing, and working. I always have pictures that I didn't quite have time or space to post on a specific blog. The following pictures are ones that just never quite made the cut. There are two of me posted and anyone who knows me knows that I rarely have pictures taken due to the ever present second chin that I seem to have picked up and now can't get rid of! So, overlook that and enjoy the pictures!!

Mississippi State and a visit from the Tooth Fairy!

Yesterday, James finally let me pull his very loose tooth.  He started to yell and right about the time he started to yell I handed him his tooth. All attempts at yelling stopped and smiles and giggles took over! He was one happy kiddo!! To top off that excitement, we took the boys to their first college game--MSU vs. Troy. Those boys cheered their little hearts out for MSU! Even though we were very much surrounded by Troy fans it didn't stop those boys from cheering for their team with everything they had! I was fully expecting all of them or at the very least one of them waking up with no voice. However, they all woke up with their vocal cords working properly and James proved that by screaming to let us know that the Tooth Fairy had visited him!

Pool Time

The boys love to swim and it is the perfect way to work off excess energy when we are all finished with homeschool for the day!

The Week After

The week after a vacation is always rough. You wish you didn't have to leave your vacation destination and getting back to "reality" just isn't all that exciting on its own. To help the boys get through this awkward time, Steven started teaching them the basics of stained glass. :)

Happy Father's Day

As a little girl, I always dreamed of marrying my "soul mate". Someone who understood my querkiness and even thought it was cute. I also wanted someone who would be a great father. I found him the day I met Steven. He was everything I dreamed of :) We have had four beautiful children and even made it through hard times that some couples could not withstand. I am thankful God made him for me and I am thankful that God allowed me to watch and participate in the lives of our three sons, who by the way are carbon copies of their father. We all have a guardian angel named Gracie to watch over us as well. FYI: the pictures did not load in the order that I would have liked them to load :)

To My Sweet Husband on Father's Day!

Steven's little mini-me's....each in their own way :)

The first big snow that we've had....I think Steven had as much fun as the boys did!

Our last addition to the family...James Matthew...the ultimate Steven mini-me!

First beach trip....James was there he just wasn't ready to come out and play quite yet :)

I want to give a shout out to my mother-in-law Liz for sending this picture to me years ago!!

Our little O!! He was so very sick when he was first born that we didn't get a boat load of pics of him at first!

Ian showing us his "mean face" lol

I'm not sure who gave me these pictures of Steven but you can see a bit of all three of our boys in that top picture of him!

Ahh yes you can't truly claim a Scottish and Irish lineage if you don't have a kilt....or at least that is what Steven told me :)
