So much to do...not enough time to do it!

I don't know if it's just me or not, but it seems as if time flies by much quicker between Halloween and Christmas. December came way too early for me. I am diligently working on finishing the Christmas shopping. I am not a Black Friday type person. I have no desire to be trampled in order to get a deal on the items I want. I know it's crazy but I would rather spend a little extra than deal with those people! We managed to get our Christmas tree up the first week of this month and of course we made Christmas chains. The boys truly love making them every year so that they can count down the days until Christmas. The pictures that I am posting are just a "trial" run for Christmas pictures. If you are wondering about Ian's lips, they were very chapped. It does kinda look like he had collagen injections lol! As you can tell from the pictures, the boys thoroughly enjoyed this photo session!

It looks like the tree is leaning but it wasn't. Steven thought it would be funny to take a picture at an angle...and he wonders why he isn't allowed to take pictures unsupervised.

Thanksgiving!!!

We will use any excuse to make a run for the coast to visit with family but it is always an added perk when it's a holiday and the house is packed! We had the best time but unfortunately we had to make this one of our "fly by night" trips. We left our house at 6:30, drove 4 hours with 3 very excited kids, visited with our wonderful family, and then drove 4 hours back home with 3 exhausted, sad little boys. But who knows, maybe Orion's Christmas wish will come true and we will get to move back to the coast very soon. According to our boys, the only thing that could have made Thanksgiving better was getting to see Aunt Christi, Uncle Scott, Christian, and Jackson. That will definitely be on our itinerary for our next visit!

James' First Field Trip

James has never been on a field trip or a bus so today was a double treat for him. We all went to the Montgomery Zoo. James LOVED it! Especially the monkeys and chimps. He had the best time hanging with his friends outside of the school. He was really tickled when his Dad and I both came with him. The only thing he was truly disappointed in was not getting to see a gorilla throw its pooh....don't ask because I have yet to understand that one myself! LOL

Finally!!!!

We splurged and bought a new computer a few weeks ago! Its an awesome computer with all the bells and whistles and probably has a turbo booster somewhere on here! I absolutely LOVE it....however, in converting all of our files over and trying to figure the new system out and how it was going to work with all of my work software; I haven't had much time to devote to getting the camera set up! Lucky for me my husband helped me get everything in order during halftime today! Oh and to top it off I've had the flu this past week and wasn't able to get out and photograph my little men until Friday. I have attached some new pictures from our day!!

A Day at the Expo

We have had absolutely beautiful weather today! To get us out of the house a bit, we all jumped in the car and went to the Enterprise Aviation Expo! What an experience! They had many, many World War II era planes that the boys couldn't get enough of. They also had helicopters, jeeps and even guns! The boys were even allowed to sit in a Huey. If it wasn't for the heat we could have stayed there all day. We enjoyed snacking on popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones while we walked around outside and looked at all the cool things they had.

Ahhhhh Puzzle TIme!!!

Steven and I thought it would be an amazing idea to have a family project of sorts during the ridiculous amount of rain we have had in the last few weeks. So we came up with this great idea that we need to put together a puzzle...I mean EVERYONE can help with that, right? We went to our trusty Wal-Mart and picked out a puzzle with a beautiful picture and really didn't put much thought into the fact that it was a 1,500 piece puzzle. Two weeks later we finally finish it! All of us worked on it at various times and Steven and I both can close our eyes and see nothing but puzzle pieces...I really hope that fades out soon!

Flowers, Jammer, and a Trampoline!

We have had a very laid back weekend. It seems like we always have some type of errand to run on the weekend that involves all of us packing up and going to Dothan or Montgomery. Luckily, we were able to "veg" this weekend. Ian and Orion have been in "couch potato" mode this weekend but I can always count on my little James to play outside and let me take pictures. I am also posting some pictures of flowers that actually survived the drought!

Of course, we had to include tickle time!!! :)
