A Day to Play

James gets bored very easily when he is  here by himself. Since he is quite a bit like his father, it is NEVER a good thing when that child gets bored! So, after he gets through with his school work for the day we get to go outside and play. Well, I guess I should back up a bit and tell you the story behind the "bubble wand". James bought 2 bubble wands with his money at the beginning of the summer. The first wand didn't last very long because he wanted to see what would happen if he shook it up and then through the bubble liquid into the air---you guessed it, a mess happened!! He was aggravated because it didn't work and refused to open the second bubble wand. Well, he was helping me clean out my desk and he found the last bubble wand in the drawer and asked if he could have it. Of course I reminded him of what he did last time and he informed me that he was "older" now and knew what to do with them. The following pictures are of him with his bubbles. I am also adding a picture or two of Orion zoning out in front of the computer....just because!

This is Seamus the wonder dog. He got sleepy, found his pillow in the chair and decided to "sneak" into the chair and go unnoticed.

Trip to the Pumpkin "patch"

...and we are back!!!

Thanks to my sweet mother in law, Liz, for loaning me one of her awesome cameras! I now can keep my blog rolling along! I have attached some new pictures of my little ones! We took them to a pumpkin "patch" at the Methodist church in Luverne today. Also, I surprised them and took them to the playground to play. Little did they know that I was just looking for ANY opportunity to photograph them playing! Enjoy the pictures!

A Day at the Park

This weekend was so pretty that we didn't want to stay in the house! We spent the majority of our weekend outside enjoying the beautiful weather.
James being cute! He jumped on the couch and hid behind the pillows and then popped up and posed for me!
Ian decided to cooperate and give me a great smile :)
Ian and Orion getting the rules straightened out for their game :)

The boys were having so much fun on the trampoline that I decided to start taking pictures. They love to rough house and play on the trampoline. Ian has even "written up" (his phrase not mine) rules that have to be followed while on the trampoline!
I love the pictures of them in mid-air!
James was plotting a sneak attack but I caught him in the act! lol
They were taking turns jumping this time.
Ian....he really didn't want to stop jumping for me to take this picture. You can tell from the look on his face that he was just humoring me!
Orion trying to look all sweet and innocent :)
James wanted to make a "strange" face for the camera and this is what he came up with LOL

Spring Planting!

The boys wanted their own flower gardens this year.We didn't know how involved they would really be in the watering and upkeep of their gardens but they have really done well with it!
This is Ian's flower garden. He wanted to do a "custom" border around his with bricks so we let him.
This is Orion's flower Garden :)
This is Jame's garden. His is actually doing better than his brothers' but we don't point that out! :)
The first rose of the season!

The boys got kilts one year for Christmas. Orion decided the other day that he wanted to wear his. When I asked him why he said "Don't you know that only real men wear kilts??" I didn't ask what he meant....I was afraid of what type of answer I would get.
While this isn't the best picture, it does show James' new haircut! He needed it too. He has talked me out of it for a while now (he can be quite convincing for a 3 year old) but I finally took the chance, made him mad and cut it! As soon as he saw himself in the mirror he said "Wow Mom I look sharp!"
I have yet to figure out what is on his face but he wasn't doing a great job of covering it up!

We were all suffering from a case of cabin fever today. So, we all packed up and went to Montgomery shopping. We ate at Red Robin and had a blast! The entire time we were there James kept singing "Red Robin...yummmmm"! Then he and his brothers would laugh like it was the funniest thing ever. Steven and I got tickled just listening to them. I got to shop in World Market by myself...it's one of the few places I get to shop without an entourage. Steven keeps them in the car and let's them watch a cartoon while I shop in peace. I love that I have a husband that will do that :)
Don't they look so angelic and sweet in this picture?
                                                         Another picture of them sleeping
Two of my exhausted little ones on the way home :)
James was super excited to get out of the house for a while!
I finally decided to just use my cell phone camera so that I can keep my blog going. I have added a few photos and will be adding more shortly :)
Seamus thinks this is his chair....every time I catch him in it I  have to get him out of it....Steven lets him sleep in it when I am not looking! He is such a spoiled puppy!

Dr. Suess Day at School

The boys' school is celebrating Dr. Suess Day today. They were suppose to dress up like their favorite character in a Dr. Suess book. However, Ian was thoughtful enough to tell me yesterday right as we were walking out the door to take them to school that they needed a costume today. I do have to say that they were nice enough to tell me to "work on it" while they were in school....their confidence in my ability to pull a costume out of my bag of tricks is just unreal. We looked everywhere for red pants to match their shirts and blue felt to make fake blue hair but with limited time they had to settle for the shirts :)

James and I were goofing around in the car while we were waiting for Ian and Orion to get out of school. He is such a little cut up for sure!

James LOVES this swing! It is about to fall apart but he doesn't care. He will stay out there and swing for almost an hour with no complaints!

A quick picture of my little man before he went to school yesterday!
