Chef Orion!!!

The other night I wasn't feeling well and Orion very quickly chimed in and said "I'll cook for you Mom". He cooked french toast and scrambled some eggs for us to have for dinner! Who doesn't love breakfast for dinner?? Orion is actually a great cook! I am very proud of how well he does in the kitchen.

A Birthday, BB Gun, and a Dunk in the Pool!

I absolutely love it when we get to spend family time outside! This time of the year it isn't so sweltering hot that you have to go inside after 5 minutes. It is a beautiful 86 degrees with a light breeze or it was when these pictures were taken :) James' birthday was yesterday so we basically let him run the show! Also, Orion was in the top 3 for AR points for the whole 4th grade! Steven promised Orion that if he placed in the top 3 he would buy him a BB gun at the end of the year. So, yesterday afternoon was spent testing the new BB gun! All 3 boys  had the best time taking turns shooting it and Ian used his binoculars to determine how far off from the bullseye Orion was each  time! I love it when the work and play well together.

Spring Flowers

I love spring time! We always do flower gardens for us and each of our boys has their gardens. It's a great way to spend time together. My boys always give me rose bushes for either Valentine's Day or Mother's Day. This year they gave them to me for Valentine's Day. The pictures below are of a few of the flowers that have started blooming from the seeds we planted and also of my roses!
